Artist Statement: Creativity and that ephemeral
connection to the Muse, in any genre, is what spurs me to keep making beautiful
things. Being a painter, sculptor and writer makes it tough to find time for
everything, but it also gives one something else to do when a mental road block
occurs. I am in love with soft sculpture because of the challenges faced by
constructing items, usually thought to be 'solid', from materials that
definitely aren't. The only other restrictions I place upon myself are that the
materials must be recycled and made especially for tiny hands.
