Peggy Wesley Artist
Peggy Wesley lives and works on the Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington. For inspiration, her studio overlooks one of the most scenic lakes in the area. Her freedom of expression and growth is easily noticed in her work today. Peggy’s mediums are oils, pastels, and watercolor. She has demonstrated and maintains quality in each, with her own style and voice. She has always enjoyed the interaction with admiring observers while creating her art. “I believe that creativity and knowledge go hand-in-hand. I think of each of my paintings as an adventure, which allows me to express myself creatively. While painting my rendition of a three dimensional scene I hope to allow the viewer to interact with my art. It was once said to me by an admirer, viewing one of my ocean sunsets, that they could almost feel the changing weather and the movement of the waves. This is the reaction I strive to achieve in all my paintings. I believe each piece of art should stand alone as an original and unique creation. I paint for the excitement of capturing a fleeting moment in time, thus recording that moment.” Sincerely, Peggy Wesley
