Linda Corcoran
Subject Matter is varied: animals, plants, architecture, landscape, and humans. I like colorful subjects that lend themselves to playful graphic design. I try to keep my paintings fresh and strive to be open and changing ideas.
Style is a combination of oriental and drafting with a paint-by-number mentality==more realistic than abstract. Works have bright colors, blue shadows and simple design symmetry.
Media: Watercolor, pen and ink and acrylic usually on cold press or rough Arches paper but sometimes on wood. Format is usually small, sometimes large.
I live and work in an old farm house on 30 acres in Lorane, Oregon with 2 dogs, a cat and 2 horses. I started taking my art seriously after I retired from a long boring carrier at the Post Office. |
