Beth Hansen

Beth Hansen spent most of her adult life living in Alaska on
the
waterfront or on a sailboat with her husband. They also cruised in
the South Pacific for 6 years. Being so close to nature has given
her an abundance of inspiration for her art. She now is settled in
peaceful, rural Chimacum, Washington pursuing her love of art and
craft.
Beth describes herself as an emerging artist. "I´ve been emerging my
whole life and hope to continue emerging!"
She has worked in watercolors, but finds the most satisfaction in
working with colored pencils. For Beth, the process of slowly
building an image through the relaxed, meticulous layering of color
is appealing. Beth enjoys catching small bits of nature in her art
and revealing them, to encourage the viewer to look for these little
treasures in their daily lives. Whether the shells on a beach or the
leaf on a tree, there are treasures all around us. Stop and look!
